   What are you smoking? 1%? Its way more than 1% my friend. From what I see, its like 80 – 90% of PS3s.

   Well then again ps3 only has about 1% failure rate, while microsoft has over 50% rate. So Microsoft was in no position to not fix their systems for free

   its just pure alcohol. (dont drink it!.. not the same) ….Smiths, Walmart, Kmart etc sell it in the pharmacy section.. it still used as an old school disinfectant.. for this purpose, its just a fluid that evaporates vigorously and take impurities with it, leaving no residue.. cheap as hell to boot .. like $4 a bottle max…..

   I just completed this process and my playstation is back!!!! This is relatively easy and I cant believe sony tried charging me 150 bucks for this. My 360 got the RROD and microsoft fixed mine for free even though it was over two years out of warranty. It’s a shame Sony didnt do the same. Thank you so much for this video. It was so helpful.

    Can someone tell me why isn’t my PS3 turning on? I did everything he said, and at the end there’s not even a red light. i pressed the I-O and nothing. Please tell me ASAP.

    i got a question in 5:34 when you say the black things int the top its messing 3 of them what happen when you lost 3 …the black one on top its because this ps3 its 4rm a friend so they allredy lost them so …..the 3 black thing it nothing bad if you lost themm ???? plz answer the faster you can plzz..

    My ps3 has paste on the metal board also on 2 little pads, do i remove the paste from those as well?

    On the 40GB version you don’t need to disconnect the fan from the motherboard casing. The 40GB is in fact a lot easier to take apart than the 60 GB.

    man getting the motherboard off the fan is a real bitch on the 40gb. i have already done this before (fixed temporarily) but getting this shit off is pissing me off. i wish there was a video of a proper way to get this thing out
