After all the hype about this game I finally purchased it. Don’t waste your money on this. I now have a game that is due for the trash and out 56.00. The game play is like playing a Ps2 game, no smooth graphics like Metal Gear or COD MW2 and the weapons suck really bad. After spending a couple of hours to break out of the vault it is very amateurish in its nature and the way it is programmed. I haven’t even tried to finish it and it will go into the garbage unless someone wants it or trade me something for it that I can play or use.

I got more hours of fun from this game than many I have played. The combat was great. stories were great. I loved it so much I purchased this edition after the normal edition. It was just that good.

I loved the original Fallout, and I loved Fallout 2. As soon as I heard about Fallout 3, I pre-loved it too – as long as Bethesda didn’t ruin it. Well, it’s been out for well over a year, and they didn’t ruin it – in fact, it’s the best game I’ve played in a long time. That said, the Game of the Year edition improves on that, by adding all the expansion packs.
I’m a little bit bitter over paying $60 for the game initially at release, and then parting with another $60 for the GOTY edition, but that’s business – and I feel like I definitely got $60 worth of extra content. I’ve played all the expansions except Operation Anchorage at this point, and they were all fun. Mothership Zeta is a bit run-and-gun for my tastes, but it was fun too.
I can’t wait for New Vegas, but in the meantime if they release a Game of the Decade edition with even more content, I won’t complain. I’ll probably even part with another $60 to play it.

for the most part. I did what so many others did: Sell my older F3 and buy the new GOTY. First start up took a while to load as it added in the new DLCs. I have noticed on my PS3 80GB that the GOTY version freezes up MUCH more than the older version. Nothing that a hard-boot of the console doesn’t fix, but annoying to be sure.
If you haven’t played Fallout3, you are missing out. If you have, but not played the new content, its well worth the price of admission!

Love Fallout 1 and 2 by Interplay/Black Isle Studio; 2 of the best RPGs of all time imho.
Fans of Fallout had huge expectations with Fallout 3 – unfortunately, Bethesda programming is amateur at best due to the numerous issues: unstable code, lots of game crashes, broken quests, etc.
I would not recommend buying this game – it’s generally very boring and never provides any “wow” moments – tonnes of exploring, but so little to find and no rewards.
I would recommend bargain bin purchase of Fallout 3 GOTY, under $20. Also bewarned, PS3 owners in Canada – your Fallout 3 original save games (I had over 150hrs invested in Fallout 3) will NOT work with F3 GOTY. Bethesda originally sold the US version of Fallout3 in Canada. Now, Bethesda is selling the English/French version of F3 GOTY in Canada…NOT compatible with each other. Bethesda has not provided any indication that they are even remotely looking at this issue – so beware of this F3 GOTY purchase for PS3 owners in Canada. Poor customer support = avoid Bethesda games in the future.
The modern graphics and computer capabilities of today have put the online casino on par with the land based casinos. In fact, considering the how readily available Internet access is, and various other inherent advantages, one might consider the online casino to be more fun than its land based counterpart.
