   @Pacerjames rosin solder is quicker and solder you’ll need flux anyway to make it easy

   I got the hang of it, but when taking these off I use clear flux solder because the rosin tend to stick on the board more, if you use the clear flux solder the solder doesn’t stick as much as suppose to using the rosin solder. Thanks for your video man, great stuff!

   It doesen’t matter what solder you use. It was super thin though and same with his tip, so that’s maybe the reason why it looked a little easier.

   Hey man I just did this today and you make this look so easy wow. I did it but it was ugly, I tired it on a old controller kind of regret it because I wasted the led’s on a dumb controller. Are you using regular solder or rosin solder or does it matter? Thanks

   LOL i put a mod on my x box when u turn it on it goes red when u kind of UNplug it when its on it will go green xD

    ya i just put red LED’s in my controller….its worth it, but buy some extra’s if you lose one!(like i did) i powered my board up while i was doing it so i knew for sure they would light up….msg me if you have any questions about them. thanx

    You can get ten of each color (red, blue, green, yellow, orange) off ebay for I think it was 6 dollars free shipping.

    No, but he is doing a major nono. when you touch the led, make sure you dont put pressure on the middle of it, – it will cause the led to be very dim when in use, and never solder the long ends of the led, that will destroy it if left on the side for more then 3 seconds.

    somebody else tells on his videos not to handle the LEDs with tweezers or they might break, would that happen?

    I was trying to solder on blue leds on a controller, but the lights were extremely dim. The other blue led controller I did was fine, but that was with a different set of blue leds. The soldering wasn’t the problem. It is because of the 170mcd instead of the 110mcd? Because I soldered on orange leds for another controller that had 170 mcd and it worked fine. Help please.
