On the map Sandtrap, there were Easter Eggs hidden at each tower. These Easter Eggs (aka Davinci Code Eggs) were theorized to be the guardians on Sandtrap and that they fire sentinel beams at you to trigger the mines. On the map Sandbox, the same eggs have been rediscovered and they also fire beams at you. The only difference is that those beams are much more deadlier.
