It becomes difficult for those serious gamers to afford these consoles. It is true that is far better than the previous versions of the console and has many more features in it but still people were not prepared for the fact that this console would cost $400 when it will be launched.
But those gamers who cannot afford this console o not need to lose heart; they have another a bit cheap option for them.
They can even play games like Bioshock, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and many more with the help of the Xbox 360 core console. This is cheaper than the previous one but does not have all the features.
Without the Hard Drive
The only thing that is lacking in the Xbox 360 core console is the hard drive. It does not have an internal hard drive but this does not pose a threat to the saving of the games that you will play.
There is an internal memory which stores all your favorite games and you can play them whenever you want. Today you do not need memory cards to store your game and be in constant tension of losing the games from the memory.
The internal memory has sorted out this problem. You will save almost $50 for not buying a memory card because of the 2 GB hard drive space that that console offers.
This has been a great improvement. You can even buy a hard drive and fit it into your Xbox 360 core console and enjoy the features of the hard drive without going for the expensive console, this will also save you quite a lot of money.
Great many titles are available with the Xbox 360 core console and if you do not get one now you are going to miss it.
The Xbox 360 core console also provides you with a wide range of game and the external hard drive will provide a good graphics and hence there is nothing for which you should not get this console.
But the Xbox 360 core console does not have the Netflix support which is a great miss on its part, but this won’t create much problem if you have your PC to watch movies.
If you want games like the Halo 3 then you must go for this Xbox 360 core console. The graphics are better than the HDTV’s. Its price is almost about $250. You can also buy used consoles.

With xbox360 elite black you’ll get the cable to 3 inputs, and a stick that u can plug em in and then intro ur tv, but if u got HD TV u can let the stick go and put the 3 cabels green white and red into ur tv directly
the video was made in 2007, dumbass.
There are 3 models of the 360:
Core: $279
Premium: $349
Elite: $449
All 3 will play any 360 game (with the exception of the upcoming Oblivion Expansion pack, which will require a hard drive – see below.)
The Core comes with a wired controller, and a standard cable for your TV.
The Premium comes with a wireless controller, 20GB hard drive, a standard cable and a component cable for your TV.
The Elite is the same as the Premium, but comes with a 120GB hard drive, and adds a HDMI cable. Note: some new Premium models now have a HDMI port like the Elite – check the box. I don't think these HDMI-enabled Premium boxes include the HDMI cable though.
I would highly recommend the Premium model at the very least. For the extra money, you're getting an "upgrade" to a wireless controller, the hard drive, and the extra component cable. Purchased separately, this is well over $100 in extras.
In addition, the hard drive can be used to store your save games – but with the Core, you'll have to purchase a memory card (or hard drive) separately for extra money. Also, without a hard drive, you won't be able to download games, demos, videos or movies from the 360's marketplace.
If you have a HDTV, the Premium or Elite models are especially attractive since they include cables required for HD – otherwise you'll have to purchase them separately if you bought the Core.
As for component vs. HDMI – that's really up to you. Most of the games on the 360 are 720p or 1080i – which will work fine with the component cable. However, if you plan on downloading videos or movies with your 360, or buying the separate HD-DVD add-on drive for HD movies, you might want to consider the Elite for its larger hard drive (more space to store those movies) or at least look for a Premium unit that has HDMI – especially if your HDTV supports 1080p.
Not really, but if you're looking for top quality, i'd go with the elite. It comes with the HD cables already, and everything else you need for xbox live. It really is the ultimate starter kit.
